Paris Fashion Week has once again confirmed the fact that in an effort to surprise the sophisticated viewer, modern designers create not just shows, but real perfomance. Of course, the first thing we pay attention to is the shapes, colors and silhouettes of the models, but we also do not want to ignore the scenography of some shows. Indeed, couturiers convey a special message and mood through the scenery.

So, Maria Grazia Curie devoted the scenery of the Dior show to Italian feminist art and the idea of environmentally friendly consumption. The space was decorated with laconic slogans on luminous signs fixed above the podium, which, according to artists, show "how reality could and should have been perceived if we had not been held hostage to the male point of view." Another work of Claire Fontaine is the catwalk - a new version of their famous work Newsfloor, consisting of newspaper pages glued to the floor. Newspapers on the catwalk turn into “visual noise”, symbolizing the outside world, which penetrates the atmosphere of this show at the crossroads of conviction and rebellion, aesthetics and ethics.

The shows of Louis Vuitton and Off-Whité, on which Virgil Abloh, known for his rebellious spirit, did not go unnoticed. The scenery of the Louis Vuitton men's show emphasizes the value of the heritage of sewing craftsmanship; the tailor's giant podium tools - ruler, needle and thread - took center stage. The surreal motive is complemented by the infinity of heavenly space. Clouds soaring above the podium create the illusion of a voluminous space, similar to the dome of a century-old cathedral. The scenery of the Off-White show, held recently in Paris, in turn emphasizes the spirit of rebellion and drive. On the podium there are life-size flipped-over cars that were literally walled up in the floor.

Balenciaga creative director Demna Gvasalia surprised the audience with a flooded podium. And while the theme of water at fashion shows has already become quite commonplace, the atmosphere of the show was really impressive. The front rows were literally flooded with water, and a fantastic sky from the future hung over the podium.
