An Austrian company specializing in the manufacturing of glass and crystal jewelry made a splash when, in 2016, it first introduced diamonds artificially grown in its laboratory. As part of the Paris Spring / Summer 2020 Fashion Week, Swarovski introduced an updated assortment of faux diamonds. In a statement, company executives explained that in the new collection they used “Created Diamonds” round diamond cuts in 16 exquisite shades, “inspired” by the fields of fashion, art, music and architecture.

It is noteworthy that the range includes several bright pink and red diamonds, natural prototypes of which are by far the most expensive fantasy diamonds due to their shortage. Swarovski has been using artificial diamonds for several seasons to create new collections for some collections, including those designed by Penelope Cruz. When selling products that include the widest range of stones based on diamonds of categories D, E or F, it is primarily referred to their environmental friendliness and ethics. It seems that the market for artificial diamond products really has a great future, because every year in the world it has been growing by 50%, and this trend has been holding for 5 years.
