AT CHRISITE’S AUCTION PABLO PICASSO’S PICTURE WAS SOLD FOR $103,4 MLN.

At Christie's auction in New York, a Pablo Picasso’s canvas “Woman sitting at the window” (Marie-Therese) was sold up. The auction lasted 19 minutes and as a result, the canvas was sold for $103,4 mln.

In the picture Marie-Therese Walter, Pablo Picasso’s sweetheart and one of the most famous muses in modern art history is depicted. The picture is painted in oil on canvas, its dimensions are 146X114 cm and are dated to 1932. The picture is one of Marie-Therese portrait series.

The pictures by Van Gogh, Piet Mondrian, Mark Rothko, Andy Warhol, Marc Chagall, and others were sold up at the auction.
