The Moscow public is by no means deprived of spectacles, but persons of scale - and charisma! - Gauthier is not often with us. The Moscow tour of the show will last until February 16, so hurry up to grab tickets for this unforgettable performance. Fashion Freak Show is a mixture of theatrical performance, dance review and fashion show - more precisely, many shows. The show involved more than 200 costumes, some of which were created specifically for the presentation, and the rest - the best of Gaultier of different years. Considering that he announced the end of his career in fashion a couple of weeks ago, this is a unique chance to see Gauthier models “alive”.

What is Jean Paul Gaultier show about? About beauty. About her versatility and ambiguity, that she can hide in the most unexpected forms. “We are all freaks, and we are all beautiful,” the fashion designer never tire of repeating, talking about her production. However, isn’t he trying to say this all his life? Fashion Freak Show is a charming and metaphorical autobiographical story, incredibly beautiful, with salt, pepper and lipstick, cynical and naive at the same time, personal and universal. This is a sincere story about the life and work of couturiers, about the awakening of talent, about the fulfillment of a child’s dream, about the first steps in fashion and first love, as well as about a strange modern society with its phobias and mania that cannot be treated without sarcasm. The videos accompanying the show featured the favorite actresses Jean-Paul Gaultier, his two muses: Rossi de Palma (she played the teacher Gauthier) and Micheline Prelle (she got the role of grandmother Gauthier, who was the first to discern his exceptional talent in the future couturier).

The highlight of the Russian tour is that the fashion designer added several costumes from the 1986 Russian Constructivism cult collection. The same one where for the first time a French fashion designer wrote his name on clothes in Russian letters. And by the way, it was from this collection that the tradition went to write the name of the brand on the elastic elements of the suit - cuffs, lapels of hats, elastic bands of underwear
