Rolls-Royce: the personalization of luxury

Rolls-Royce is the British car brand of the segment «Lux», which is primarily associated with luxury and reliability. These qualities were central to the design of the first cars. So far all «Rolls-Royces» are assembled manually, and before the final assembly of the cars pass two thousand kilometers of tests at the test site. The vehicles are then disassembled, all units are checked and 12 layers of paint are painted. It is the only Rolls-Royce operation performed by a robot. As at the beginning of the last century, every car is manufactured exclusively to order. By selecting individual design elements and carefully fabricating every detail from the most exclusive materials, Rolls-Royce demonstrates a subtle sense of luxury, similar to the delicacy of the world of watchmaking, yachting, architecture and private aviation. The team of designers, engineers and stamp makers is taking the possibilities of personalization of cars to an unprecedented level. We offer to remember the iconic works of the skilful masters of Bespoke atelier.

The decoration line:

The decorative line on the body is one of the most recognizable features of Rolls-Royce. The strip is drawn manually only in the eye. There’s only one master in the world, Mark Kurt. For this jewelry work, he uses a thin squirrel’s coat brush. The length of each line is about six meters, and it takes at least three hours to draw. Mark can draw a single or double stripe, and at the customer’s request add initials or a drawing. Last week, Mark celebrated his 18th anniversary with Rolls-Royce.

The embroideries:

Ghost - «The Spirit of Calligraphy».

In the Arabic ornament, which took the form of “The Spirit of Ecstasy”, the famous quote of Henry Royce: “Take the best that exists and make it even better. If there is no better – create it yourself”.

Phantom Rose

At the customer’s request, the Phantom salon became a rose garden. Over a million stitches were needed to embroider the cocks and flickering butterflies on the ceiling and doors of the car. It is based on the unique rose variety Phantom Rose, developed exclusively for Rolls-Royce and found in the Goodwood rose garden.

Wraith - «Inspired by British music»

This collection was built in conjunction with British rock legends. In creation of one of the coupes took part son George Martin - famous producer «The Beatles», which is called «the fifth bit». The back seat embroidered the names of Martin’s 30 most popular singles. The series featured Wraith in a collaboration with Roger Daltrey, frontman of The Who. Its raison was a large embroidery of the recognizable logo of the group.

Wraith Falcon

A falcon with wings open in flight on the ceiling of the Wraith Falcon is the most detailed embroidery in the history of Rolls-Royce. It took a quarter of a million stitches and more than 30 days to build. Designers spent hours studying the bird’s habits and movements in order to realistically convey its bossy, predatory image.
